I turned 30 just a couple weeks ago, and it was a pretty big day for me. I'm at a good point in my life-- great family and wonderful friends. By 30, I'd already worked 7 years as a classroom teacher and "retired" to stay at home with my two beautiful girls. I'm married to a resident with a crazy schedule and small salary, but we have a great life.
When I turned 29, I had hopes of doing a 30 by 30 list. At the time, I struggled to come up with 30 things that I could do in a year. I know that the items on the list didn't need to be grand or extraordinary-- just 30 things I'd like to do. I stopped the list before I even began. But now, I have changed it up a bit, and instead of giving myself just 365 days to achieve the milestones on the list, I am giving myself 5 years, because some of the experiences I've added to my list take some planning, time, and/or money.
I'll be adding the LIST to the blog soon, and hopefully will begin checking some items off! :)
